Project Titan

Project Titan: Crafting Worlds Together was a global game jam where artists collaborated to create an open-world exploration game in Unreal Engine 5.4. I chose to join the Sulfur region, eager for the challenge it presented. With no official structure like art directors or supervisors, the project was highly self-directed; a few guidelines were set from Unreal developers that everyone needed to follow.

After gathering references, I set out to create stylized assets that could be reused for various structures and scatter pieces. The world was vast and, with limited time, I devised a loose schedule to ensure I completed the Pools of Despair and other sections before the jam ended. Over six weeks I crafted hero props, PCG blueprints, materials, and level designs for the Sulfur region.

Collaboration was key in this game jam and the Sulfur team, along with other participants, worked tirelessly to create an engaging experience.

I wanted to inject some humor into this piece by adding a tentacle stirring the cauldron of soup. I strive to infuse personality into every asset, so when a player happens upon it, they experience a sense of joy or surprise.

In the twilight of the Sulfur Titan's reign, her final breath was taken many moons ago. Despite her passing, the inhabitants remain hopeful, gazing fervently at the unhatched eggs.
